Your vision and voice is needed now, more than ever...
Santa Cruz women, femmes, and thems of all ages, cultures and creeds are welcome to come join this free all-day symposium to dream together, share our medicine, be witnessed in our power and vulnerability, and expand our capacity to care and cultivate. Expect to explore issues that matter to you, form new allyships, and be inspired to take meaningful next steps.
By honoring our interconnectedness, our roots of wisdom, our grief, and the knowing that a kinder, more just and equitable world is not only achievable, but is our responsibility to co-create, we will weave a potent liminal space of vision, hope, exploration, leading, and learning from each other. Lifting our hearts, strengthening our capacity, and clarifying our purpose.
Sisters Resounding are actively calling in and insisting on a better future by seeding and nurturing a new place-based cultural narrative that respects all life, celebrates diversity, centers reciprocity, and generates solutions rooted in relationships and compassionate creativity.
This is a generational endeavor that seeks to heal that which suffers and mend what is broken, to ensure that our children can know and learn from this very land—the ocean, the redwoods, sky and soil. To stay committed to working on ourselves and healing our own trauma so that we can show up in full presence and empowerment to answer the call to create lasting change.
Embrace this opportunity to feel the strength and support of being in community and discover your own unique call to action. At this seminal day-long symposium you will be invited to engage with other women, femmes and thems in both facilitated break-out groups and conversations as well spontaneous and heartfelt exchanges on matters of priority and passion at this critical juncture of humanity.
A rare and necessary opportunity to sit in circle with diverse perspectives and face challenges together, seriously listening to voices and ideas perhaps different from our own. We must learn to do this, and do it with sincerity, openness, curiosity and compassion. This is a day to explore practical solutions shoulder-to-shoulder and face-to-face, find support in collaboration and understanding, and commit our collective efforts towards creating an enduring culture of care and legacy of stewardship.
Get back to what's really important: Relationships
We see strengthening relationships through partnerism, taking responsibility in examining our conditioning and reactivity, healing our own trauma, building bridges across belief systems and personal histories to be the foundation for peace, equity, prosperity and resilience. We embrace best-practices and emerging models of alternative institutions of care, economics and peacemaking to better serve this community, this land and future generations.
We are building a heart-centered, nature-honoring culture—one that courageously faces the shadows of the past and envisions a future of harmony, respect, and beauty. For ourselves and for generations to come, we accept nothing less than the more just, compassionate, and regenerative world we know is possible.
